Comic Book Therapy

Capped at 8, 85 minutes. 5 weeks, $30.00 per group all paid at once at $150.00 or in two payments of $75.00. (Out of pocket, insurances not accepted for this group.)

DATES: Tuesday May 16th to Tuesday June 13th

Three age groups:

  • K-3rd grades: 4:00 PM – 5:25 PM
  • 4-6th grades 5:30 – 6:50 PM
  • 7th & 8th grades 7:00 – 8:30

Comic book therapy is a unique style of group therapy that allows children and youth to process big emotions and feelings in a way that is exciting and fun. This group will allow children to use comic books, art and creativity to build their identity, self-esteem and self-worth. Children and youth will also work to build tools for heavy emotions and will practice these tools during group time. This group is appropriate for any child or youth who has big emotions, low self-worth, social-emotional regulation issues, ADHD, depression or anxiety. No diagnosis required for this group.

Gamification therapy

Capped at 8 youth, 85 minutes. 4 weeks, $30.00 per group all paid at once at $120.00 or two payments of $75.00. (Out of pocket, insurances not accepted for this group.)

DATES: Wednesday May 17th to Wednesday June 7th

Gamification therapy is a unique type of therapy that helps children and youth discover how to organize their life tasks through a process called gamification. Gamification will teach youth using art tools and a virtual app to trigger the reward response through gamifying their life. Children and youth will work to design a gamification model that works for them and offers a better sense of routine and organization. This group is most appropriate for children and youth with either a diagnosis of ADHD or suspected ADHD, but any youth or child is welcome to sign up. This group would also be appropriate for any child or youth with anxiety, depression or struggles with completing tasks. This group will also offer elements of identity building and the development of self-worth. No diagnosis required to sign up for this group.

Three age groups:
