I am a licensed therapist with a unique professional background in nursing, social work, and mental health, bringing a holistic, trauma-informed approach to the care I provide. My professional journey began in the United Kingdom, where I built my foundation in healthcare and social work before continuing my clinical career in the United States. Working across these professions has given me a deep understanding of the complex relationship between physical health, mental health, trauma, and overall well-being.
My passion lies in helping individuals heal from trauma and navigate life’s most difficult challenges. I have experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, abuse, complex trauma, relationship difficulties, and significant life transitions. I have also worked with individuals whose lives have been impacted by the criminal justice system, providing me with valuable insight into the emotional, psychological, and social challenges that can accompany incarceration and re-entry into the community.
Earlier in my career, I worked within correctional services as both a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and a Mental Health Counselor, providing care and support to incarcerated individuals with a wide range of physical and mental health needs. These roles allowed me to work closely with individuals experiencing severe mental illness, trauma, substance use disorders, crisis situations, and significant psychosocial challenges. This experience strengthened my belief that every individual deserves dignity, compassion, and access to quality, evidence-based mental health care, regardless of their circumstances.
My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences. I tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based interventions while recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all. My goal is to help clients build resilience, gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I believe that healing is possible for everyone. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they rediscover their strengths, overcome adversity, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
