John Bayless, PhD

Neuropsychologist

John D. Bayless comes to the RMHG from the University of Iowa, where he received his Ph.D. and is currently Clinical Professor in the Carver College of Medicine and Co-director of the Clinical Neuropsychology Service in the Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Bayless has practiced primarily as a clinician and has authored dozens of articles and presentations involving psychiatric disorders, stroke, and brain injury, as well as development of psychological assessment techniques.

Continuing on the Board of Editors of the Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology, he remains an ad-hoc reviewer for several national and international journals. He was a member of the Iowa Governor’s Advisory Board for Head Injury, and was voted Outstanding Professional (1995) of the Eastern Iowa Chapter of the Brain Injury Association. He is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, the American Psychological Association and a fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology. He is licensed in Wisconsin and Iowa, and board certified through the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology.
